Stackers

At the exit of a casing-in machine or a trimmer knife, Solema stackers collect products with movements always calibrated according to the characteristics of the semifinished. Stacking operations are frequent in bookbinding systems, but book blocks, hard-covers or saddle stitches require special technical measures. This is why we designed Giove and Marte for soft-cover books and HCS for hard-covers.

MARTE

The infeed belt conveyor of the MARTE stacker is adjustable in height to be attached to the delivery of any type of three knife trimmer and it is equipped with driven upper and lower belts, which allows accurate processing of product by turning one single hand wheel. A flat telescopic belt is installed between tlhe infeed conveyor and the first pre - pile station, which delivers the products to the stacking units.

From the infeed to the delivery of finished piles the products move between side guide rails to guarantee correct positioning and accurate pile forming. The guides are adjusted to the product size by easy accessible hand wheels. The books are transferred from the flat telescopic belt into the pre pile station.

GIOVE SPEED

MINI SOL

MINI SOL is a compact and cheap stacker that thanks to its ductility can be exploited for many different uses. It can be installed as emergency stacker in case of stop of the downstream machine, to pre-stack before a three knife trimmer or at the end of an automation line. Very useful in case of semi-finished products where it's not necessary to compensate the spines. This machine is designed through an accurate chosing of the finest materials, to allow to stack both soft cover and hard cover products.

HCS

The HCS Stacker is studied to handle hard cover books with or without jackets, and with special attachment can be used also to stack wire-o bound books. The timing device together with timing station at the entrance of the machine allows the HCS to be installed in any application as the books are properly timed and oriented from the machine before stacking.
